Shine Respite Night

Shine Respite Night

Every child is a gift, and every caregiver carries more than most people see. This respite evening is created especially for children with special needs and the people who care for them.

Parents and caregivers are invited to drop off their child — along with siblings, if applicable — for a night filled with fun, friendship, and meaningful connection. While the kids are cared for and celebrated, caregivers are free to step away for a few hours. Whether that looks like a date night, running errands, or simply resting at home, this time is our gift to you.

Throughout the evening, our trained and compassionate volunteers create a safe, engaging environment with games, crafts, sensory activities, movie time, and more — all centered on experiencing the love of Jesus together in ways that are thoughtful, accessible, and full of joy.

Shine Night Out is completely free and intentionally designed to offer encouragement, rest, and support. It’s one small way we hope to say: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.

Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all spots are filled, a waitlist will be offered. While we would love to accommodate every family, space is limited and dependent on volunteer availability. We encourage early registration to ensure your place.

Age Requirements

Shine Night Out is designed for our friends with special needs — and their siblings — ages 5 and older. For families with children under age 5, with or without special needs, Kids Care will be available during the event to ensure every family is supported.
